Superteam in 2026: Solana Local Hubs, Jobs and Grants
Superteam chapters in 25 countries are paying Solana talent, signing city deals and scouting founders. Here is how to get hired or invest through them.

If you want a job in Solana and you don't live in San Francisco, New York or London, this is the post for you. The fastest-growing doors into the ecosystem right now aren't big company careers pages. They're local Superteam chapters, and in October 2026 they were busier than ever.
Superteam now lists chapters in 25 countries, from the UAE, Brazil and Nigeria to Japan, Kazakhstan and Australia. Each one is small, but together they act like a talent agency, an accelerator and an embassy for Solana in one. Here's what they're doing, why it matters for your career, and where investors should be looking.
The money is real, and it's public
The best thing about Superteam is that the proof is on-chain. A public tracker reading Superteam's own stats API showed 3,261 payouts worth $16,376,340 on Superteam Earn as of 4 November 2026. That's bounties, freelance projects and grants paid to contributors around the world.
The chapter numbers are just as telling:
- Brazil: more than $697,000 in rewards distributed, a 97% completion rate on listings and over $3 million in capital facilitated, according to its own transparency report (August 2026).
- Canada: $391,694 rewarded through its Earn page.
- Türkiye: $122,680 earned by members, plus 45+ meetups, workshops and hackathons.
None of these are giant numbers on their own. That's the point. This is a pipeline that turns curious people into paid, provable contributors, a few hundred dollars at a time, and some of them end up founding companies.
What the chapters shipped in October
Thailand opened a headquarters
Superteam Thailand opened its Bangkok HQ in October, open Monday to Saturday to builders, founders, students and investors. It also announced expansion to Phuket and Chiang Mai. Its weekly recap said local team Zenith passed $200 million in cumulative volume and Rile switched on mainnet payments. The chapter also reported ongoing conversations with the Bank of Thailand and SEC Thailand. That's the quiet work that lets a whole country's startups grow.
Vietnam signed with a city
On 12 October, Solana Foundation Chief Product Officer Vibhu Norby signed an MOU with the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre, with Superteam Vietnam on the ground. Its "Road to Colosseum" programme was covered by 34 Vietnamese media outlets. When a city government and national press are paying attention, local hiring tends to follow.
Kazakhstan went institutional
Superteam Kazakhstan signed an MOU with the Khan Tengri Innovation Hub on 21 October, covering tokenisation, blockchain settlement and cross-border investment. Earlier in the year it helped launch a Solana Lab at Almaty Management University, ran education across 17 cities in the first half, and saw the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange launch a digital asset platform built on Solana in June.
Türkiye and Argentina went wide
Superteam Türkiye ran a university track for Colosseum's Crypto World's Fair and is now running a four-week university hackathon with Dev3pack at Base3 Hub in Bursa, ahead of the global Dev3pack Hackathon on 27 to 29 November. Superteam Argentina hosted nine Build Stations in one weekend, from Buenos Aires to Jujuy, Salta and Mar del Plata.
Australia is betting on capital markets
Closer to home, Superteam Australia describes itself as an invite-only network for founders, developers and capital markets people. It supports Solana Foundation grants of up to 10,000 USDG for Australian builders ($40,000 approved across four recipients so far, though applications are paused right now). It also runs the SOLAUDD developer programme with AUDD, the Australian dollar stablecoin, and is a founding services partner in the Buy Australian AI Partnership, whose first cohort connects AI startups with ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, NAB and Westpac.
Why this matters for your career
Here's my honest take. Most Solana companies are small, remote and busy. They don't have time to run big hiring processes. They hire people they've already seen do good work. Superteam is where that work becomes visible.
Superteam Türkiye says it plainly on its own site: membership is earned, not given, and most applicants are asked to win a bounty first. What you've shipped matters. Your job title doesn't. I love that. It means a designer in Mendoza or a writer in Da Nang has the same shot as someone with a fancy CV, if they do the work.
So treat your first few bounties like a portfolio, not a lottery ticket. Pick ones that match the job you actually want. If you want to work in payments, do payments bounties. If you want a DevRel role, write the docs and tutorials teams keep asking for.
Why this matters for investors
If you invest in early-stage Solana teams, the chapters are your scouting network. Brazil reports $3 million+ in capital facilitated. Türkiye says it gives founders warm intros to ecosystem VCs. Thailand ran a showcase with Solana Angels. And Colosseum's hackathons, which most chapters feed into, are where many of the next pre-seed deals come from.
The realistic caveat: chapter activity isn't revenue, and an MOU isn't a product. Many hackathon projects stall. But the teams that keep shipping after the demo day, with users and a clear market, are exactly the ones worth a closer look. Local chapters see them months before anyone else.
A simple game plan
- Find your chapter. Check the list on superteam.fun and join its community channels. No chapter where you live? Join the nearest one, or one in your language.
- Make a Superteam Earn profile. Then complete one bounty this month, even a small one.
- Show up in person. Meetups, build nights and office hours are where people get hired. Thailand's Bangkok HQ, Australia's events in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, and Türkiye's university hackathons are all open doors.
- Aim for a hackathon. Join a Colosseum event with a team from your chapter. Even if you don't win, you'll meet founders who are hiring.
- Look for grants if you're building. Regional grants are small but non-dilutive, and they open doors to bigger rounds.
- Browse teams by category. Our Community and Education category lists teams that support builders, and the Solana Foundation site has its broader grants information.
