Solana Trading Apps in 2026: Teams, Jobs and Revenue

Axiom, Fomo, GMGN and Trojan show where Solana trading apps make money in 2026, who is hiring, what the pay looks like and what investors should watch.

Solana trading apps are one of the clearest money machines in crypto. They don't hold your deposits or run a chain. They give traders a fast screen, a good wallet and one-tap orders, then take a small fee on every swap. In 2026 that simple model is still paying big salaries, pulling in top-tier venture money, and reshuffling the leaderboard every few months.

If you're job hunting or investing in Solana, this corner deserves a close look. Here's who is winning, who is fading, and what it means for your next move.

The market in one picture

The Trading & MEV category on Solana Teams has a lot of names in it, but the volume now sits with a handful of apps.

On 22 October 2026, tracker data from Sell The Pump put daily Solana volume like this:

  • Axiom: about $56.0M a day, 36.2% of tracked bot volume
  • Fomo: about $53.7M a day, 34.7%
  • GMGN: about $23.5M a day, 15.2%
  • Trojan: about $2.2M a day
  • Photon: about $0.9M a day

Two apps are now neck and neck, and they look nothing alike. One is a desktop terminal for power traders. The other is a social, mobile-first app for everyone else. That split is the big story of 2026.

Axiom: the desktop powerhouse

Axiom (axiom.trade) came out of Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch and grew faster than almost anything in crypto. According to DefiLlama, Axiom's revenue peaked at $61.26M in May 2025. It cooled to $6.81M in June 2026, then bounced back to $18.35M in September 2026. Its cumulative revenue is now about $469.6M, and DefiLlama's trailing-year rate is roughly $156.6M in revenue.

That's a real business, and it is still small. Axiom's job ads describe a "small, fast-growing team" serving millions of users and more than $100M in daily volume.

The pay is the headline for job seekers. Axiom's listings on Y Combinator and Ashby offer $320K to $465K for systems, frontend, backend, full-stack and Rust engineers in Austin, with new grads welcome. A founding engineer role adds 0.5% to 1.5% equity.

There's a catch, and they say it plainly. The roles are on-site, US-visa only, and the founding engineer ad warns in capitals that you will work a lot. If you love shipping fast and you can live in Austin, this is one of the best-paid seats in Solana. If you need remote work or balance, look elsewhere.

What they want is practical: deep TypeScript, React and Postgres, real-time systems like WebSockets and caching, and ideally on-chain data on Solana. That's a skill set you can build and prove with side projects.

Fomo: the mobile app top VCs are backing

Fomo (fomo.family) is the one investors are talking about. In June 2026 it raised a $75M Series B led by Index Ventures, with Union Square Ventures and Benchmark, at a reported $550M valuation, according to The Block. Total funding is roughly $94M.

The pitch is simple. Sign in with Apple ID or email, trade any asset on any chain, and see what other people are buying. In its Series B post, Fomo said more than 625,000 people had joined in its first year, with over $4B in volume. It added perpetual futures in June and has kept expanding since, and this week posts on X highlighted a new in-house bridge for faster cross-chain swaps.

Why does this matter? Big consumer investors don't usually back memecoin tools. They backed Fomo because it looks like the next Robinhood-style finance app, and Solana is its main engine. DefiLlama shows most of Fomo's fees still come from Solana.

For careers, Fomo is a New York team founded by three dYdX veterans. Union Square Ventures said it's hiring Staff+ frontend engineers and a marketing lead, and The Block reported it plans to add staff and look at acquisitions. Fresh capital plus an acquisition appetite usually means more roles over the next 12 months.

GMGN, Terminal and the rest of the pack

GMGN (gmgn.ai) is the multi-chain player. On its latest tracked day, OpenChainBench showed about 48% of its volume on BNB Chain and 33% on Solana. That spreads its risk, and it's a good fit if you want to work across chains.

Pump.fun is also in the race. Its desktop Terminal, formerly Padre, did about $20.6M on its latest tracked day, and the Pump.fun app adds more on top.

Meanwhile, older Telegram bots show how fast this market moves. Trojan made $27.66M in revenue in January 2025 but about $826K in September 2026, per DefiLlama. Photon went from $84.59M in fees in January 2025 to about $354K in September 2026, per DefiLlama. And BullX paused trading in its current app on 1 June 2026, while keeping wallets and withdrawals open.

These teams are still running, still earning, and still shipping. But traders have moved on to better products, and that should shape your choices.

What this means for job seekers

My honest take: trading apps are a great place to grow fast, as long as you pick the right team.

  • Follow the volume trend, not the brand. Check DefiLlama before you apply. A team whose revenue is climbing hires; a team losing share cuts.
  • Mobile and social are where growth is. Consumer UX, growth marketing and mobile engineering skills are in demand at apps like Fomo.
  • Speed is the core skill. Every winning app here sells speed and reliability. Real-time data, caching and Solana RPC experience will get you noticed.
  • Know the trade-offs. The best pay often comes with on-site work and long hours. Decide what you want before you apply.

What this means for investors

This sector proves Solana users will pay for great tools. Axiom alone has earned hundreds of millions in revenue. But loyalty is thin. Photon and Trojan were leaders not long ago, and traders left within months.

So watch three things: share of daily volume, revenue after cashback and referrals, and whether a team is moving beyond memecoins into perps, stocks and multi-chain trading. Fomo and Axiom are both pushing in that direction, which is a healthy sign. Remember that volumes swing hard with the market, so treat any month's numbers as a snapshot.

What to do next

Solana trading apps are making real money, paying top salaries and attracting serious investors. The winners are the teams that keep shipping faster, simpler products.

  • Browse every team in the Trading & MEV category, then explore all Solana teams to find who is growing and hiring.
  • Shortlist two or three teams whose volume is rising, and build a small project with their tools before you apply.
  • Building a trading app or tool on Solana? List your team on Solana Teams so job seekers and investors can find you.
