Real-world assets are one of the fastest-moving corners of Solana right now. Treasuries, US stocks, private credit and even reinsurance are being turned into tokens that move on the chain. For job seekers and investors, that matters, because the teams doing this work are growing, hiring and pulling in big institutional partners.

This guide explains what is happening in plain English, which teams to watch, and what it could mean for your career or your research.

What are real-world assets on Solana?

A real-world asset, or RWA, is a token that tracks something that exists off the chain. That could be a US Treasury fund, a share of Nvidia, a loan, or a pool of payment financing. The token lives on Solana, so it can be sent, traded or used in apps in seconds, at any time of day.

Solana's pitch here is simple: fast settlement and low fees. Those matter a lot when you move large sums of money many times a day.

The numbers behind the trend

The data is moving in the right direction. According to RWA.xyz, Solana now holds about $4.39 billion in distributed real-world assets, or roughly $4.5 billion once represented assets are counted. That puts Solana third among blockchains for RWA value, behind Ethereum and BNB Chain.

Growth in users is even sharper. RWA.xyz counts more than 884,000 wallets holding real-world assets on Solana, up about 47% in 30 days, spread across more than 3,200 different assets.

Tokenized stocks are a big part of the story. The official Solana account on X said tokenized stock trading volume crossed about $4.4 billion in September 2026.

Stablecoins sit underneath all of this. RWA.xyz tracks close to $15 billion in stablecoins on Solana, which gives these new assets a deep pool of digital dollars to trade against.

Teams to watch in Solana RWAs

Ondo Finance

Ondo Finance is the clearest example of a team scaling fast. It brought its tokenized stocks platform to Solana in January 2026 with more than 200 US stocks and ETFs, as Ondo announced at the time.

By June, Ondo said it listed over 430 tokenized stocks and ETFs across Solana, Ethereum and BNB Chain. It also says it was the first tokenized stock platform to pass $1 billion in total value locked. In June 2026 it added round-the-clock minting and redemption for popular assets such as tokenized Nvidia and Tesla. These products are for eligible investors outside the US.

Ondo is also hiring. Its Greenhouse job board lists 24 open roles, most of them remote. They include a Senior Blockchain Engineer, a Product Manager for Stocks, a Head of Risk, a Compliance KYC Manager and a Solutions Engineer for Asia-Pacific.

Huma Finance

Huma Finance works in a niche called PayFi, short for payment financing. It gives licensed payment companies stablecoin funding so cross-border payments can settle the same day. Each loan is short, usually repaid within one to seven days.

In its Q3 2026 update, Huma reported more than $18 billion in total payment volume and said its PST yield token passed a $382 million market cap, up 110% in a quarter. The team also reports zero credit defaults since launch.

PST is now widely used inside Solana DeFi. A Blockworks report on Huma's first half of 2026 found about $75 million of PST sitting in Solana lending markets such as Jupiter Lend and Kamino by the end of June.

Maple Finance

Maple Finance runs institutional lending pools. Its main product on Solana is syrupUSDC, a token that grows in value as borrowers pay interest.

Maple expanded to Solana in mid-2025, using Chainlink's cross-chain technology to move syrupUSDC between networks. Kamino was the main venue from day one, and Jupiter Lend added support later.

Tokens are only useful if people can trade, borrow and lend with them. That is where Kamino Finance and Jupiter come in. Both accept RWA tokens such as PST and syrupUSDC inside their lending products.

Chainlink provides the price feeds and cross-chain links that Huma and Maple rely on. And Circle issues USDC, the stablecoin most of these products are priced in.

What this means for job seekers

RWA teams sit where traditional finance meets crypto. That opens doors for people who might not see themselves as "crypto people".

  • Engineers who know Rust, backend systems or data pipelines are in demand to build token and settlement systems.
  • Compliance, legal and risk professionals are needed because every tokenized stock or fund comes with real rules.
  • Product and operations people with capital markets experience can bridge the gap between banks and on-chain apps.
  • Sales and solutions roles are opening up as these teams sign partners in new regions.

A good first step is to read a team's docs and product pages before you apply. Showing you understand how a token like syrupUSDC or PST works will help you stand out.

What this means for investors

The RWA trend on Solana is real and backed by public data, but it is still early. A few points are worth keeping in mind.

  • Growth is fast, but concentrated. A small group of issuers holds much of the value, so a setback at one team could move the whole sector.
  • Many numbers are self-reported. Figures such as total value locked or default rates come from the teams themselves. Check third-party trackers such as RWA.xyz where you can.
  • Access rules vary. Some products, including Ondo's tokenized stocks, are not open to US investors.
  • Watch real usage. Rising holders and trading volume are better signals than launch headlines.
